So here is an interesting quandary: How can voters both win and lose on
November 5?
The latest polls are in for the economic policies that Vice President
Kamala Harris laid out in her nomination acceptance speech, and these
ideas are big winners with voters.
Capping out-of-pocket medical costs, restoring the pandemic-era child tax
credit, providing a $25,000 down payment subsidy for first-time home
buyers—all of these policies have widespread support.^1
However, if Vice President Harris wins the presidency but Democrats lose
Congress, it will be incredibly difficult for any of these policies to
ever become law, and the American people will lose out on a more just and
equitable economy that works for us all.
We need to work just as hard to hold and expand our majority in the Senate
and flip the House of Representatives as we do to elect Vice President
Harris, which is why MoveOn is announcing our Senate endorsements of five
candidates who will make a huge difference come November 5. These races
are projected to be nail-biters, but we have the power to win them and
stop a Project 2025 takeover of the Senate if we come together right now.

A new poll of swing voters, who don't pay as much attention to politics,
produced surprising results: These voters are progressive when it comes to
economic policies.^2
The top policies that would win their votes for the Harris-Walz ticket
include expanding Medicare coverage, raising the federal minimum wage,
raising taxes on the wealthy, and increasing abortion protections.^3
And that's why we need to get the word out about our slate of Senate
endorsements, who champion those very policies:

* Tammy Baldwin (Wisconsin)
* Ruben Gallego (Arizona)
* Bob Casey Jr. (Pennsylvania)
* Jacky Rosen (Nevada)
The latest numbers show these races separated by just a handful of points,
and we have just 70 days to go.
