Friend, Earlier this year, the Smokehouse Creek Fire devastated the Texas panhandle, burning over 1 million acres in the largest wildfire in the state’s history. And in the aftermath, cats slowly emerged from within the fire zones, some in need of emergency care. Our Rapid Response Team helped rescue cats like Rubble, a friendly tabby who was found by himself in a burnt-out trailer and suffering from smoke inhalation. We also provided lifesaving support to beautiful Siamese cat Mona, a survivor of the fires who needed veterinary treatment and ongoing care to recover from the harrowing ordeal. Thanks to our supporters like you, we were able to provide these cats with immediate and critical care and keep them safe until they could be adopted into loving homes. However, as communities face more natural disasters, our work will be needed in more impacted areas in the future. So please: Make a donation before the next disaster strikes. Your support right now will help our Rapid Response Team provide food, veterinary treatment, and other critical care to cats recovering from disaster. And, disaster relief requires more than just immediate care. True, impactful response involves long-term support for affected communities. Following last year’s devastating tornadoes in Arkansas, we continued working with local organizations for months, providing much-needed funding and ongoing care. We also help families prepare today so they can survive the emergencies of tomorrow. Donate now to support our disaster response for cats—from wildfires to tornadoes and hurricanes and beyond—and help us continue building a better future for all cats and kittens. For the cats, Alley Cat Allies
