Dear ,

As early as today, the Senate may vote on a half trillion dollar bill1 that leaves our families behind. Millions of us have become unemployed and will not be able to pay rent or put food on the table for our families. Millions of us are risking our lives as essential workers driving buses and trains, stocking shelves in grocery stores, cooking and delivering cooked meals, taking care of children and elders, farming and transporting food, and so much more. Our work is called essential, but our families are standing on food lines that stretch for miles.

Instead of bringing us the full relief we need, Congressional leadership is proposing a small amount of funding for small business and hospitals, and a little bit of funding for COVID-19 testing.

Resources to support people who are unemployed, regardless of immigration status?

Health care for all for the entirety of the crisis?

Hazard pay and protective equipment for essential workers?

Aid for states and cities?

Funding to make sure our elections are fair and safe?

Cancellation of rent, mortgage, and utility shutoffs?

As Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who represents one of the most impacted districts in the country said yesterday2, “I'm not here with the luxury of time. I need legislation that is going to save people's lives.”

We need to act RIGHT NOW for a #Recovery4All.

[Please call your Senator and Member of Congress TODAY and demand them to oppose this package as it is currently proposed. Tell them we need a #Recovery4All, TODAY!]([link removed])
