John,

Just before the 50th Earth Day celebration, one of the most detrimental decisions was made on one of Montana's landmarks. A mine at the headwaters of the Smith River was approved.

Here in Montana, we love the wild and natural beauty of our public lands. Growing up here, I know the beauty of the Smith River with its clear waters. But this new mining project could destroy the quality of the water and threaten the aquatic life within the river.

As Attorney General, I'll have a seat on the Land Board, and always fight for clean water. I'll stand up to these companies and demand corporate responsibility from those that want to do damage to our natural resources.

When I'm on the Land Board as Montana's Attorney General, I won't let corporate greed determine how our land is used. I'll do everything I can to protect and preserve our landmarks like the Smith River.

Here's where I need your help. Outside interests will do everything they can to buy this election, including propping up fake third party candidates. And right now, we still need to raise $2,241 before the end of April to shut out special interests from this election. Chip in $5 now so I can defend our lands and our state's future.

We're not wrong to be alarmed by this new mining project, because we're not in the wrong. The Supreme Court just gave a definitive ruling on the Clean Water Act, stating that it is the responsibility of our government to monitor and limit groundwater pollutants.

As your Attorney General, I'll defend our state from polluters and prevent corporate greed from destroying Montana's treasured landmarks, like the Smith River. Chip in $5 now to meet our $2,241 end-of-month goal so I can keep our public lands in public hands.

Fighting for you,

Kimberly
