You know I am not a believer in polls because they give people a false sense of security. But the polls in Michigan right now are tied and reaffirm what I have been saying all along: Michigan is a competitive state and we have a lot of work to do.

The outcome of the election in our state could go either way, which means we need to turn out as many voters as we can.

My district has repeatedly been a heavy turnout district for Democratic votes because we work hard to define the issues and talk to voters. Turnout in my district could be the key to helping Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz win Michigan’s 15 electoral college votes. Michigan’s 6th District also has 7 competitive state house races that we need to win to keep our majority in Michigan’s State House. We can’t take anything for granted!

We need to communicate with voters in MI-06 to register, request their ballot, vote early, or turn out on Election Day, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

All weekend, I was out in the community meeting and listening to voters to help them understand what’s at stake in November. Knowing I have your support would mean a lot to me, and a contribution from you today will fuel my work ahead as I work to earn votes to continue serving MI-06 in Congress and to help Democrats win up and down the ballot.
