John,
Sunday marked a devastating milestone for Rohingya refugees.
Seven years ago, nearly one million people fled to Bangladesh. More than half were children, including 15-year-old Kohinoor.*
She’s spent most of her life in an overcrowded camp, where poverty, violence, child labor and human trafficking are rising. No place is truly safe there – not even school.
“There’s gunfire day and night,” Kohinoor told our sister organization, Save the Children. “We live in constant fear, too scared to go anywhere.”
Like so many other humanitarian crises, this dire situation is reaching a breaking point. We must demand action before it’s too late. [[link removed]]
Not long ago, a gang tried to kidnap Kohinoor’s older sister. She escaped a forced marriage – but she’s plagued by nightmares, ulcers and heart issues.
As her sister battles unthinkable trauma, Kohinoor is mourning her childhood. “I dreamed of becoming a doctor,” she shared.
“We want a life like before, when we could leave the house… play and read.”
John, refugees around the world are desperate for support. On behalf of Kohinoor, her sister and millions more families, please speak up today. [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
