Consumers First partners,

This note is a reminder to please join us for our webinar THIS THURSDAY, August 29rd from 3:00-4:00 EST on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) proposed rules. We will be circulating separate sign-on comments for each of the rules in the coming weeks.

You can register to attend here.

These proposed rules cover critical issues that are important for the delivery of high quality, affordable, and equitable care for our nation's seniors and all those who rely on Medicare for their health care. Medicare payment policies also often establish a standard that is then adopted by other payers including commercial payers and Medicaid, impacting the millions of people who rely on those programs.

This is an important opportunity for organizations representing families, children, workers, and employers to share our collective expertise with the administration on how these rules impact our communities.

This webinar will run through Families USA’s key recommendations across several areas spanning both MPFS and OPPS, including:

• Updates to Advanced Primary Care Management (APCM) payment codes
• Beneficiary attribution to ACOs
• Health Equity Benchmark Adjustment (HEBA) in the Medicare Shared Savings Program.
• The lack of proposed updates to strengthen federal hospital price transparency and comprehensive site neutral payment policies.
• Updates to the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) Program
• Establishment of a Condition of Participation (COP) for obstetric (OB) services and updates to established COPs to include OB services.

Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions.
