Last fall, over 100 babies were born while their sailor dads were deployed overseas. Thanks to supporters like you, the USO was there for these families every step of the way, from hosting baby showers, to delivering care packages, to welcoming these sailors back home.

It is heartwarming to see the cheers, tears and hugs when military families like these are reunited after enduring months of separation, and the USO is honored to be part of their joyous celebrations.

Everything the USO does for people who serve and their families is made possible by generous supporters like you. But right now, we're facing a budget gap, and we urgently need your help to continue our vital programs and services. Since 2013, we've hosted baby showers for more than 35,000 expecting service members and military spouses. The traditional games, guest speakers and drawings provide a wonderful celebration for parents-to-be who are often far away from their loved ones and support networks.

We even provide a touch of home and comfort to our sailors when they're thousands of miles out at sea. Our first USO Center aboard a Navy aircraft carrier is available to the 5,000 military personnel who serve aboard the USS George H.W. Bush.

Whether it's supporting service members wherever they are, celebrating their arrivals back home after their service is complete or even welcoming their babies into the world — we're only able to always be there for military families thanks to your support. And during the summer months when fundraising slows, military supporters like you are even more crucial to our mission.

That's why we've set a goal to raise $50,000 by midnight tomorrow to get our fundraising on track and help ensure we avoid a summer shortfall, which could affect the supplies and support we're able to provide to our service members.
