In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a donation to Katrina Christiansen's campaign for U.S. Senate in North Dakota — yes, North Dakota. Please give me a minute to explain why this race is worth chipping-in a few bucks.

First, it goes without saying, North Dakota Senate is not one of the races people immediately point to on this year's Senate map. It doesn't get the attention of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana, and Nevada.

And I want to be upfront that this is going to be a long-shot campaign.

But here is the thing:

North Dakota had a Democratic Senator for 58 straight years until 2019. In 2022, the Republican Senator won with just 56% of the vote.

It is also one of the cheapest media markets in the country, which means a donation goes a long, long way relative to other races.

Will Katrina win this race? I don't know. But I do know that without our help, she has very little chance. And if she does win, if lightning does strike, it is a virtual certainty Democrats will hold the Senate.
