Hi John,
Working people are fed up. Workers are dying, and it's past time employers and public officials took action. If they aren't going to take action, we are! That's exactly what I did with my co-workers earlier this month!
In fact, airport service workers demanded action from airlines like American Airlines and officials at airports nationwide, including at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport – where I've worked for a year. We united to call for fair wages and basic protections against extreme heat, including cool water, safe breaks, and proper training.
Underpaid service workers have been leading the call for better heat protections all summer. In California, fast-food workers at Taco Bell were suffering under 104 degree temperatures, so they walked out. Same in the South! Throughout the summer, workers have been raising the alarm on unbearable temperatures only made worse when A/Cs fail and bosses ignore it.
Now we need your support to keep this momentum for heat protections going. Take action immediately – share what we're fighting for!

Like workers everywhere, I work hard. But despite my dedication, I'm struggling to get by on poverty wages. On top of that, it is HOT in Charlotte. Without proper air conditioning or access to cool water, the conditions are just straight-up dangerous – and deadly.
This isn't just my struggle; it's a challenge faced by many workers. Across the South, Black, brown, and immigrant workers in jobs like mine have been historically and systematically excluded from getting what we're owed.
And these injustices are not just a part of our history. They continue to shape our present, making it harder for us to secure fair wages – and even the simplest of protections from extreme heat like access to cool water.
We know that united together we can help break the cycle of exploitation that targets workers of all backgrounds. With collective power, we can demand what should already be a given: fair wages, affordable benefits, and SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS!
Be a part of our fight today and share our momentum with your friends and family!
Thank you for being with us!
