Next week hundreds of MPs will be back at work after their summer break, and we need to make sure that ending the lower-income country debt crisis is high on their agendas.
We’re facing the debt biggest crisis in over twenty years - and the impact on people’s lives is devastating.

Over half of all MPs are newly-elected, which makes it even more important that they hear from constituents like you on the issues you care about.
And next week, we’ve got a real opportunity to get our voices heard. Not only is it the first week back for MPs, but our Director, Heidi Chow, has been invited to speak at a special event in parliament.
She’ll be taking our demands for a new debt justice law straight to decision makers, and you can help make sure we win as much support as possible by asking your MP to come to the event and pledge support for the new law.

Incredibly, 90% of the debts owed by lower-income countries to banks, hedge funds and oil traders are overseen by UK law. That’s why a new debt justice law could make the debt relief process faster and fairer and help end the global debt crisis.
We need as many MPs as possible to support the new law and for our new government to make good on its promise to tackle unsustainable debt.
Campaigning together we’ve achieved some incredible things, now let’s make sure this new government acts.
