Friend,
On World Humanitarian Day and every day, we stand in solidarity with the humanitarians who refuse to turn away from the people most affected by the world’s most devastating crises.
At Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), these humanitarians are our doctors, nurses, and other experts who provide lifesaving medical care for people in need during disease outbreaks, natural disasters, conflict, and more. In Sudan, our humanitarian teams are treating people trapped amid intense fighting.
The war in Sudan has reached an untenable level, threatening the lives of staff and patients as hospitals and health facilities come under attack. Most recently, a series of violent incidents forced MSF to evacuate our team from Turkish Hospital, a major medical facility in Khartoum where we had been providing care for more than 14 months.
MSF will continue to provide medical care for people in crisis in Sudan and beyond, but we can only do it with your support. By making a gift today, you can put your humanitarian values into action and help MSF respond to emergencies in more than 70 countries around the world.
