Dear John,

I’m excited to share some monumental news with you. Louisiana has just made history by becoming the first state to require the display of the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom. This isn’t just a win for Louisiana—it’s a win for religious freedom across our nation.

Under this new law, every classroom, from kindergarten to state-funded universities, will prominently feature the Ten Commandments in a large, easily readable format.

This isn’t just about putting words on a wall; it’s about restoring an essential part of our heritage and reminding future generations of the moral foundation upon which our great country was built.

Earlier this year, the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) had the honor of testifying before the Louisiana House Education Committee on the constitutionality of this crucial legislation. Our Attorney, Ron Hackenberg, passionately argued that House Bill 71, sponsored by State House Representative Dodie Horton, is not only constitutional but vital for educating our youth about the origins of our legal system and the moral authority behind it.

This bill’s passage aligns perfectly with the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, which opened the door once again for government displays of religious content, as long as they align with America’s history and tradition. This ruling marks a significant shift, allowing us to reintroduce the foundational values that have shaped our nation.

As the president and founder of PJI, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that defending our religious freedoms can have. This victory in Louisiana is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we stand together. But the fight is far from over. There are countless other battles across the country where your support can make a real difference.

Your donation to Pacific Justice Institute today will help us continue to protect and advance religious liberty in America. Whether it’s defending similar laws in other states, fighting for parental rights, or ensuring that the voice of faith is not silenced, your partnership is crucial.

P.S. Louisiana's new law will not be publicly enforced or endorsed in any way until November 15, 2024, according to a new court filing in the ongoing legal battle over the policy. Please continue to pray for the state and all those in the public schools.
