My name is Josh Stein.

I am a proud North Carolinian. I’m a husband, a father, and a public servant. I’m currently serving as Attorney General of our state. And I am running to be the next Governor of North Carolina and deliver a brighter future for our state.

I grew up in North Carolina, and my wife Anna and I raised our kids here. I’m proud to call this state home and to have spent decades working to advance our shared priorities and build safer communities.

I’ve taken on big fights for the people of North Carolina — and won. I’ve fought to keep people safe, hold corporate wrongdoers accountable, and defend everyone’s fundamental rights.

Now, we must keep fighting for our state. Because the bottom line is this: North Carolina is a great place to live — but extremist Republicans are plotting to drag us backward. Far-right policies targeting vulnerable communities will endanger our friends, family, and neighbors, imperil our economic growth, and threaten our future.

My radical opponent will attack reproductive health care access, voting rights, and other freedoms — and the national GOP is all in for his campaign. They see North Carolina as their best chance to pick up a Governor’s Office and are already on the air spending millions and millions attacking me.

The polls show me in a dead heat, and our race has been rated a toss-up.

We know this race will be a close one all the way through Election Day — statewide races in North Carolina always are — but we are running out of time to sway the undecided voters who could tip this election in our favor. We can’t risk coming up short.
