Team,
I first got into this race in order to continue my work as a public servant to grow the Northwest Indiana economy with good-paying jobs and ensure that everyone has access to affordable healthcare. I also believe that we must do more to support public education, protect our environment, and work to create a truly just and tolerant society for the next generation.
Most recently, the GOP-aligned Indiana Chamber of Commerce, which has been instrumental in advocating for anti-worker, anti-environment, anti-public education, and unfair tax policies, has endorsed my opponent. This organization typically only backs Republican candidates! We can not allow Republican groups to try to buy Indiana’s First Congressional District seat.
Now I know Indiana, and the people of our region care about workers, public education, the environment, and are against corporate welfare. When I am in Congress, I promise to bring the kind of transparency and accountability that we need to successfully provide and protect these ideals.
What I will not do is allow the Chamber of Commerce to hijack our Democratic primary to push their anti-worker agenda. Time and again, the Chamber has promoted corporate welfare and actions that have been at odds with protecting the health, safety, fair pay, and organizing abilities of Indiana’s workers.
Today is the biggest fundraising deadline of our campaign to date, and we need to send our opponents a simple message -- our people powered movement has the support to win on June 2nd.
Join my election campaign TODAY to ensure that I can continue to bring transparency, accountability, and leadership to Washington.
Thank you, friend.
