John,
Every four years we say that it’s the most important election of our lifetimes. 2024 is, without question, a historic election. And it is so important that every eligible voter makes their voice heard between now and Election Day.
Voter suppression laws across the country have made it more difficult for millions of voters to access the ballot box—most of them disproportionately voters of color, LGBTQ+ people, folks living in rural areas, and people with disabilities. In many cases, these laws were designed that way. It wasn’t until the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965 that removed racist barriers to voting registration and allowed every one, regardless of their race or ethnicity the right to vote. But now, the U.S. Supreme Court has rolled back some of those crucial protections.
To fight back against racist voter suppression laws, we’re joining with our friends at Vote Forward to write letters to infrequent voters in the key swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to make sure they have everything they need to get to the polls.
Click here to RSVP and join us this Thursday at 7pm ET as we gather together to make sure voters in swing states have all the resources they need to vote in this historic election.
