From August 10th to August 18th, 350’s network of independent affiliates and our partners at People’s Action took matters into our own hands.

From Buffalo to San Diego, dozens of courageous activists and changemakers organized more than 30 coordinated actions in 18 states. Together, we made our demands crystal clear:

1. Reliable and affordable energy for all.
2. Just transition to 100% clean renewable energy.
3. Energy systems run by and for the people, democratic ownership and decision-making for generation & distribution.

Together, we grew a groundswell of support in our fight against the for-profit utility companies who are fueling the economic and climate crises. Over 30 media pieces were published and more than a dozen Letters to Editor covered the connections between for-profit utility companies and the climate crisis. 

Our message is clear: we will make way for an energy system that benefits us all, and our planet.

By building upon a shared public narrative against investor-owned monopoly utilities and demanding an end to the financial and political support of these companies, we can turn the tide.
