Last week, Texas Democrats took the nation by storm at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. 


Congresswoman Veronica Escobar and Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar delivered powerful messages on bipartisan border security. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett fired up the crowd and made the case for Kamala Harris as only she can. Uvalde mother Kimberly Rubio gave a heartbreaking tribute to her daughter, Lexi. Texas women denied critical healthcare due to cruel abortion bans gave courageous testimony. And Congressman Colin Allred delivered a powerful, optimistic message: “we” is more powerful than “me” -- and on November 5th WE will send Ted Cruz, the ultimate “me-guy” packing for good.

Texas was front and center on the biggest stage, and the energy was palpable. As Senator Royce West said, "people are pumped up like I've never seen before -- since probably Obama when Obama ran in 2008."

The latest polls show the undeniable momentum we're building here in Texas:

  • Congressman Colin Allred is within 2 points of defeating Ted Cruz 
  • Vice President Kamala Harris has shrunk Trump's lead to just 5 points, nearly halving his previous advantage
  • Down ballot Democrats are out-raising their Republican opponents and are on track to to make historic gains
