Hi John,

I’m thrilled to share that earlier this summer, NPH’s 2023-24 Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) cohort successfully completed their program! 🥳

👏 The 2023-24 BAHIP Cohort Throughout the program year, our interns gained the skills and hands-on experience needed to jumpstart a career in affordable housing real estate development and project management. The 2023-24 cohort is made up of five amazing individuals who each represent unique backgrounds and life experiences, further diversifying our field with folks who better reflect the people we serve in our collective work toward housing and racial justice! View their graduation photos and graduate work portfolios!

🔥 Passing the Baton! Now that BAHIP Cohort 6 has graduated, the spotlight is on Cohort 7, who recently started their year-long journey at their respective host agencies. These new BAHIPers look ahead to a year of activities, trainings, networking, and events led by NPH and our partners and other professionals, that cover real estate development, housing policy and advocacy, and soft skills training, such as communications, workplace culture, and more.

BAHIP: Let’s Diversify Our Industry, Together!

BAHIP is a one-year, paid internship program with the goal to help diversify the Bay Area’s affordable housing field by recruiting college students from low-income communities and communities of color into careers in affordable housing development and project management. The program introduces interns to the affordable housing field, helping them nurture their passion and commitment to housing and racial justice while informing their civic engagement moving forward.
