There are two paths before us this November.

One path is the one we are already on, with a degradation of our democracy and the rule of law, the devastation of our health care, and damage to our nation that will be near irreparable. That is the path of reelecting Donald Trump, and further emboldening him to pursue his cruel agenda.

It’s terrifying. We simply can’t afford another four years of President Trump.

The other path is a return to our values. A tried and tested leader with a vision for our nation that will help lift up each and every one of us, and create a better, more just, and safer future for our country.

As we face a global pandemic with increasingly severe economic damage and public health implications, it is more important than ever that we have a President who places the interests of the American people first.

We have seen the terrible consequences of a President who just isn’t capable of doing the job, and who shows us every day how unfit he is for the trust placed in him. We can’t have another four years of that.

Instead, we have a chance to elect a leader who will be guided by science and experts as we respond to this pandemic. Who always focuses on the needs of working families and how we can raise up everyone in this country, no matter where they came from. Someone who speaks the truth. Someone with experience, great competence and, above all else, compassion and heart.

That person is Joe Biden.

I’ve known Joe for over two decades, and he’s got everything we need to take on Donald Trump in November and win. And he has everything we need to restore the soul of our nation and fight for each and every American, and to bring us back together.

At a time when so much depends upon the vision and judgment of our nation’s leadership, Joe Biden is perfectly qualified to step into the Presidency and lead us out of this crisis. We need Joe in the Oval Office – that is why I’m proud to endorse him for President of the United States, and will be doing all I can to make sure he is successful.
