John,
Great news! The Biden administration has announced that $110 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will go to funding 19 wildlife crossing projects across the United States as part of the Wildlife Crossing Pilot Program.
Every year, collisions between wildlife and vehicles claim the lives of over 200 Americans and countless animals. Wildlife crossings, also called wildlife corridors, allow animals to safely migrate over human built roadways, reducing these deadly collisions and protecting wildlife.
SEEC PAC’s Members fought hard to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and SEEC Vice Chair Don Beyer has been a leader in advocating for wildlife crossing projects. To help them continue this critical work for our environment, can you chip in to support their reelection? [[link removed]]
CHIP IN → [[link removed]]These dangerous collisions between vehicles and wildlife occur because human roadways often intersect with wildlife’s migratory patterns, but projects like these stand to make a difference.
According to Shailen Bhatt, Federal Highway Administrator, “These roadway safety investments will ensure that motorists and wildlife get to their destinations safely and are a win-win for safety and the environment.”
John, if projects like these matter to you, please chip in to support the SEEC Members in Congress whose work makes them possible. They’re up against incredible opposition from the GOP and their anti-climate and environment agenda, and they need every dollar of grassroots support possible. [[link removed]]
