Our reproductive freedom is on the ballot this November. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade , we’ve seen so many extreme abortion bans and restrictions implemented across the country. And Texas has some of the worst.
While we work to change the laws (and the legislature) in our own state, we must also work to ensure we can change the laws across the country. That means electing a pro-choice Congress that will make the framework of Roe v. Wade , guaranteeing the rights to Americans to make their own decisions about their bodies, their families, and their futures, the law of the land again.
We also know that while we are working to ensure our freedom, Republicans in the House and in statehouses across the country are working to take it away even more. Trump’s Project 2025 includes goals like restricting abortion, limiting coverage for birth control, revoking FDA approval for the abortion pill, and requiring states to report where women seeking abortion live. Crazy, dystopian, and very real threats.
These coordinated attacks on our freedom remind us why we must elect leaders who care about the health of women across the country and who will do everything they can to protect access to reproductive care.
That’s why today I ask you to support nine of my House colleagues in their races: Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), Yadira Caraveo (CO-08), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03), Dina Titus (NV-01), Mary Peltola (AK-AL), Andrea Salinas (OR-06), Hillary Scholten (MI-03), Emilia Sykes (OH-13), and Val Hoyle (OR-04). What do they have in common? They’re all strong, pro-choice Democratic women in the House, and they’re all Frontline Democrats, which means they’re facing some of the toughest re-election races in the country this election.
As House Democrats’ National Battleground Finance Vice Chair, I’m working to ensure my amazing colleagues in these critical Frontline races have the money they need to win so we can continue working to restore and protect access to reproductive health care and the health, freedom, and equality of all Americans.
