#GivingTuesdayNow - A Global Day of Giving
This Tuesday, May 5th, organizations across the globe are coming together for #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity and giving as an emergency response to the need caused by COVID-19.
We know the virus is threatening communities around the world - particularly the most vulnerable, like families living in crowded refugee camps who are unable to practice social distancing. We're working with partners in up to 50 countries and here in the US to meet the needs of those suffering the worst impacts.
But we also know that the impacts of this pandemic will not be limited to public health. COVID-19 threatens to push billions into poverty and increase global inequality, which means that your support of this poverty-fighting work is more important than ever. That's why we're excited to announce that all #GivingTuesdayNow gifts will be MATCHED.

Let mom know she's the greatest of all time - no matter the distance.
Mother's Day will be here before you know it - in these difficult times, it may be impossible for you to visit the moms in your life, but don't have a cow (or maybe do!) - Oxfam Gifts has you covered with virtual ways to say thanks.
Show mom that she raised a good kid with an Oxfam Gift like these kid goats ($35)! Or, celebrate her sweetness with some honeybees ($40) and you'll help provide a family in need with a modern beehive they can use to produce and sell honey.

COVID-19 illustrates stark inequality in the US
COVID-19 has often been referenced as the "great equalizer" but there's nothing "equal" about the impact the virus is having on marginalized populations in the US, particularly communities of color.

Concern in Yemen over USAID program suspension
As we've seen around the globe, early and aggressive action is the only approach to prevent COVID-19's worst effects, yet USAID has made the decision to stop some of the core programs in Yemen that can save lives.

Safeguarding essential workers in our supermarkets
While grocery store workers are stocking the shelves to help us stay healthy from COVID-19, the supermarkets themselves are failing their workers by not providing paid sick leave or the proper equipment.
