John,
It’s the end of August, and undoubtedly your inbox is crowded with back to school reminders, end of summer sales… and Democratic fundraising emails.
And look, I know — since launching my campaign for Mayor, we’ve been sending you a lot of emails.
So I wanted to take a quick moment and explain exactly why I’m counting on you to pitch in any amount you can spare to help us reach our end of month fundraising goal.
To do so, I’ll have to flash forward to October 6*, the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB)’s next deadline for reporting campaign contributions.
After October 6, every single contribution made to our campaign since we launched last month will become public. And this is key as well: Contributions made before that deadline will be eligible for public matching funds in the first matching funds payment this December.
So it’s critical that we raise as much money before the October 6 deadline to show just how strong, viable, and organized this campaign is.
That means meeting every fundraising goal our finance team sets. In order to post a big number in October, the work starts now in August.
So, will you make a contribution of any amount to help us reach the very first end-of-month goal of my campaign for Mayor of New York City? Even a few bucks at a time goes a long way in helping to show the strength of this campaign.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for being on our team.
Brad
*One note: the next official CFB deadline, set several years ago, is October 7, 2024. However, we will not be campaigning or raising funds on October 7, as we mark the one year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel. So we are setting our campaign’s filing deadline as October 6.
