Tim Walz was my football coach in high school, and I was proud to share
the stage with him and my former teammates at the Democratic National
Convention.[ [link removed]- ]Turn on images to see coverage on CNN.

As our coach, Tim Walz was a common sense, intelligent, and passionate
leader.

When we could do better, he didn't scream at us. He taught us and inspired
us. He reinforced the importance of hustle and hard work, and to have your
teammates' backs at all times.

Most importantly, he taught us to believe in ourselves, to set goals for
ourselves, and to be respectful of others.

What a contrast to Donald Trump. And what a great choice by Kamala Harris,
who is projecting the type of leader she will be and opportunity she will
create for all of us with every choice she makes.

I'm not in politics, but I've decided to make phone calls to key voters to
ensure Kamala Harris and Coach Walz get to the White House. Will you join
me?

[ [link removed]- ]Yes.

[ [link removed]- ]No.

This election is important to me. The choice is simple. I don't want to
live in a United States of America that is led by people who seek to
divide it. I want leaders who will seek to unite us.

I want leaders who believe in democracy, decency, and working as teammates
to solve problems.

I want leaders who have our backs, and who won't abandon our allies abroad
for photos and love letters with dictators.

I want leaders who will stick up for our kitchen table concerns -- and
challenge those who intentionally inflate the price of groceries, gas,
credit card fees, and prescriptions.

I want leaders who will make it more affordable to raise a family, make
education more affordable, and continue the Democratic Party's record of
creating millions of jobs that pay well so people can afford more than
just survival.

I want leaders who will protect Medicare and Social Security, not cut
these vital programs to give tax cuts to billionaires. I want leaders who
will protect our rights to live our lives how we choose and to make our
own medical decisions.

I want leaders who won't legislate who we can love, what we can read, and
who we can pray to.

I want leaders who will assure corporations and billionaires pay their
fair share of taxes, like the rest of us.

I want leaders who will work for sensible firearm regulation so mass
shootings stop being just an inevitable part of daily American life.

As Coach Walz says, when someone spends time writing up a playbook, they
intend to use it. I want leaders who won't rely on Project 2025 as their
playbook to send us backwards as a country.

I no longer run plays on the football field. But I want to do my part to
put points on the board – and elect the two people who are running to
create the America I want to live in.

Will you join me in signing up for a call shift for Kamala Harris and
Coach Walz?
