James, as the
Israeli military continues bombing innocent civilians in Gaza, the United
States continues supporting Netanyahu’s atrocities with funding and bombs.

The Biden administration just closed a $20 billion weapons sale to Israel.
U.S.-made weapons have been used by Netanyahu’s military in atrocity after
atrocity, including one recently that killed nearly 100 people at a
school. 40,000 people in Gaza are dead. Palestinians face mass starvation.
And America keeps sending Israel more bombs.

Outside the DNC last week, Ilhan Omar said what many elected Democrats
refuse to admit: “If you really wanted a Ceasefire, you'd just stop
sending the weapons.”

atrocities against the Palestinian people.

One of the reasons that Ilhan Omar made her statement outside of the DNC
is because the Democratic Party refused to give a speaking slot to
Palestinian-Americans and the Uncommitted Movement.

When the Uncommitted Movement and pro-Peace progressives like Ilhan and
Summer Lee heard this news, they began a sit-in outside the DNC.

Inside the DNC, there was a panel on Palestinian rights, and we know Trump
will be worse on this issue, but we must keep building pressure and
momentum to end this senseless killing of Palestinian civilians and
children with American-made bombs.

The U.S. government’s concerns over dead civilians means nothing without
changing policy. Netanyahu cannot continue the atrocities in Gaza without
U.S. support and weapons.

The Biden administration is spinning its wheels as Netanyahu continues to
block a peace deal. But that hasn’t stopped Biden and Congress from
sending billions of dollars and more weapons to Israel. The Democratic
Party and the Biden administration must listen to our movement for peace.
Our elected leaders must show the will and courage to change American
policy and end the bombing of Gaza.
