It’s impossible to convey how historic last week was.

Democrats from across the nation united in Chicago to celebrate democracy, adopt a comprehensive party platform, and officially nominate Kamala Harris for President of the United States.

I had the privilege of being there as the first Black woman officially accepted the nomination at the top of the Democratic ticket — President of the United States.

I’m in the mood to keep making history, are you, John? Our momentum is at an all-time high, but to ensure we enter these final months stronger than ever we’ve set a $15,000 goal to hit by midnight on Saturday, August 31st. Will you pitch in $5 or any amount you can to my re-election campaign today?

I cannot emphasize enough how fired up I am to continue making critical progress for my home district of NC-04, and our nation as a whole.

But, I’ll admit, as much as this race is historic — it’s tough. As we get closer and closer to Election Day, we need to be reaching as many voters as possible — and that’s only possible if we have the resources, John.

Our end-of-month goal of $15,000 will provide us with the critical foundation of grassroots support needed to recruit more volunteers, mobilize more swing voters, and connect with the diverse communities that span this district.
