Look, there’s A LOT to say about JD Vance.
The guy is the first VP pick to have a net-negative favorable rating coming out of a convention since 1980 (before either he or I were born!), and it’s pretty easy to see why.
Obvious disdain for women? Check.
Blind adoration of Donald Trump? Check.
Support for a national abortion ban? Check.
Obsession with culture wars and “the woke left”? Check.
The list could go on, but it all boils down to the same thing: Vance has made it clear he has no real core values – except his own political ambition…and maybe really, really not liking independent-minded women.
He says he’s pro-family, but the policies he supports put IVF and reproductive care at risk. He said Trump was “America’s Hitler,” and now he’s his #1 fan. He says he’s from Appalachia, but his book about Appalachian communities leaned on tired stereotypes and blamed folks for their own struggles.
We all know that Donald Trump is dangerous. He’s a wannabe dictator and a threat to the future of American democracy. But JD Vance is just as dangerous – and what’s more, he hides behind hypocrisy and lies about where he stands and what he believes.
I’m going to do *everything* I can to make sure Kamala Harris and Tim Walz defeat these guys.
But at the end of the day, we also need to make sure we’re fighting to flip the House – because a Democratic House could be the only thing standing between a Trump-Vance White House and the extreme agenda they want to enact.
