Dear Georgian,

I am excited to announce that my office is hosting a U.S. Service Academy Day on September 14th at the Museum of Aviation.

Our nation's service academies offer several one-of-a-kind opportunities for students from Georgia's Eighth. I strongly encourage interested candidates and their families to join us at this event to learn insightful information about attending our nation's service academies.

Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, in addition to representatives from Rep. Sanford Bishop's office, Georgia Military College, and the University of North Georgia ROTC are attending.

Service Academy Day is free and open to the public. All high school students and their parents are welcome to attend.

Meeting with the Georgia Cattlemen's Association

The Georgia Cattlemen's Association, which advocates for over 5,500 cattle producers throughout our state, recently stopped by my office in Warner Robins to discuss the need for Farm Bill passage, as well as some other industry-specific challenges. Beef is one of Georgia's top ten commodities, bringing over $730 million to our state's economy.

As Vice Chair of the House Agriculture Committee, I will continue to fight in Washington for our farmers and producers who are the backbone of rural America and our nation's food supply.

Meeting with the American Jewish Committee

The rise of antisemitism in our nation is appalling, and there is no place for these hateful acts in our country.

I recently met with the American Jewish Committee in my Warner Robins office. This organization’s mission plays a crucial role in fighting for Israel’s right to exist in peace and security and confronting all forms of antisemitism.

I continue to stand strongly behind Israel as they defend themselves against Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists and behind all Jewish people facing persecution.
