Hi,

Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito have spent years on the Supreme Court
taking millions of dollars in undisclosed gifts from billionaires in
violation of federal law.^1

Meanwhile, they’ve helped usher in a radical right-wing agenda to ban
abortion, gut the Voting Rights Act, and make Donald Trump immune from
criminal prosecution for crimes he committed in the White House.

But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just filed articles of impeachment against
Justices Thomas and Alito — and we need to help build support for her
effort.^2

We've already mobilized tens of thousands of people to contact Congress
and demand a vote on AOC's articles of impeachment. Now, with your help,
we’re turning up the heat.

Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito have violated basic standards of judicial
ethics again and again.

Thomas has taken at least $4 million in gifts from right-wing billionaire
Harlan Crow during his time on the Supreme Court, including dozens of
private jet flights, super-yacht trips, and helicopter rides to vacation
destinations around the world.^3 Crow also paid the private school tuition
for Thomas’s grandnephew and bought the house where Thomas’s mother lives
rent-free.^4

Alito’s corruption is nearly as shameless. In 2008, he took a luxury
vacation to Alaska worth over $100,000 paid for by Republican megadonor
Paul Singer – and then refused to recuse himself in at least 10 cases in
which Singer came before the court, including one that netted Singer $2.4
billion.^5

Alito also personally owned stock in 17 companies that stood to gain
almost $30 billion in tax refunds under a case theSupreme Court decided
last term, and he again refused to recuse himself.^6

Thomas and Alito have richly rewarded their right-wing billionaire friends
by pushing a radical right-wing agenda to ban abortion, gut the Voting
Rights Act, toss out state and local gun safety laws, insulate Donald
Trump from criminal prosecution, and cripple federal agencies in charge of
protecting the environment, consumers, and public health.

But finally, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is taking action to hold them
accountable.

Demand Progress Action has worked for years to restrain the radical
right-wing takeover of the Supreme Court, and now we’re pushing to support
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s effort to impeach Clarence Thomas and Samuel
Alito.
