The United States of America was founded on a simple principle: no one is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not a former president. And definitely not Donald Trump.

No one.

Just last month, the Supreme Court ruled that presidents have “absolute immunity” for official acts, essentially granting immunity from prosecution for crimes a president may commit in office. That virtually means there are no limits or consequences to what the president does.

This ruling cannot stand. It’s goes against everything our country stands for.

That’s why President Biden has proposed the “No One Is Above the Law Amendment.” This Constitutional amendment would clarify that no president will receive immunity from federal criminal indictment, trial, conviction.

This is great news, but the thing is, passing a constitutional amendment isn’t easy. 2/3 of members of both houses of Congress must agree to pass it, and it must be ratified by 3/4 of our nation’s state legislatures. But it’s not impossible — it’s been done before and it can happen again, if we come together.
