New Pennsylvania Project

Fellow activist,

Who will be elected as our next president isn’t the only thing at stake this November. There are highly consequential elections happening down-ballot, and we need to ensure that voters know what’s at stake.

As the Pennsylvania Capital-Star recently highlighted, Democrats only need to flip FOUR seats to gain a majority in Pennsylvania or three seats to have the Lt. Governor break any ties. This presents an opportunity for significant change if the Democrats have “ control of the governor’s office and both chambers of the General Assembly.” If Democrats win, they will have control of the state Senate for the first time in more than 30 years.

Here’s why this matters: what happens in these seats will directly impact the daily lives of Pennsylvanians, including protecting access to reproductive care, making funding decisions for our schools, raising the minimum wage, protecting access to the ballot box, and much more. There are two possible futures which will result from this election. One future that looks forward and expands our democracy. A future that protects our rights and our freedoms. The other that takes them away. We need your support to secure a future for all Pennsylvanians.

Thanks to your support, we had one of our best weeks ever, registering and engaging voters across the state. But Election Day is only 72 days away, and we need to keep up the momentum.

We are out in our communities, helping to register eligible voters and ensure they know what’s at stake – up and down the ballot. Will you help us reach as many voters in PA as possible by rushing $25 or more today? →

We are working to ensure that every eligible person in Pennsylvania is registered to vote, centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities, and the youth (17-34 year-olds). With your help, we can ensure that voters know how important this election is and have all the accurate information, tools, and resources necessary to successfully cast their ballots and have their voices heard.

Together,

Team NPP

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
