I’m leaving the Democratic National Convention feeling hopeful, folks:

This week has reminded me of why I entered public service and why I’m running for the Senate.

Seeing the smiles and the joy you all have about the future of our country under a Harris-Walz administration is why I became a Congresswoman (and hopefully your next Senator).

Not only do I get to reunite with my fellow colleagues in the House and Senate here in Chicago, but I get to talk with everyday people like you.

And through our conversations, it’s clear that everyone is fired up to win big in November with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at the top of the ticket.

We have seen so much joy in our politics over the past few weeks. Voters are turning out in historic numbers to see Kamala Harris and Tim Walz speak at rallies. Volunteers are knocking on doors and spreading Democrats’ message of hope. Grassroots donors like you are stepping up and chipping in your hard-earned dollars.

We are turning this joy into momentum; we are building this excitement into a united, winning team of voices, ready to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on November 5.
