The MAGA cult leader, a convicted felon himself, is hosting a f*cking fundraiser for domestic terrorists convicted of assaulting police officers, and some defendants still facing those charges, as part of his failed coup attempt on Jan. 6, 2021, to remain in power. The very real event is set to take place on Sept. 5 at Trump's country club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and is being staged by The America Project, a pro-Trump nonprofit based in Florida that is calling the reception and dinner “The J6 Awards Gala.” A gala! Seriously. A video promoting the event features clips of the disgraced ex-president praising those who are being prosecuted for taking part in the Capitol assault. “They ought to release the J6 hostages. They've suffered enough,” Trump says in the video from one of his campaign speeches. “I call them hostages. Some people call them prisoners. I call them hostages.”

I Heart Radio host Jay Weber was pulled off the air after calling Tim Walz’s 17-year-old son a "blubbering b*tch boy" in a since-deleted post on Twitter. Gus Walz, who has ADHD, a nonverbal learning disorder, and an anxiety disorder, went viral for his tearful reaction to his father’s speech on Aug. 21 at the Democratic National Convention. Weber called Gus’ emotional response “embarrassing for both father and son” in his original tweet, then dug himself a deeper hole by apologizing because he "didn't realize the kid was disabled." Looks like Weber will have lots of spare time in the near future to consider his life choices and ask tough questions of himself, like, "Why am I such a festering boil on buttock of society?" and "Other than my complete and utter lack of empathy, what would compel me to publicly attack a f*cking child?"

DOJ sues software company for enabling nationwide collusion on rent
The Justice Department and a number of state attorneys general are suing a software company for allegedly facilitating a nationwide conspiracy among major landlords to fix prices of rent. The plaintiffs filed suit against the software developer RealPage Inc., based in Richardson, Texas, over an alleged scheme to decrease “competition among landlords in apartment pricing and to monopolize the market for [software] that landlords use to price apartments.” The company “has built a business out of frustrating the natural forces of competition,” according to the lawsuit. “Americans should not have to pay more in rent because a company has found a new way to scheme with landlords to break the law,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement. “Everybody knows the rent is too damn high, and we allege this is one of the reasons why,” Garland added at a press conference.
