John,
The polls all show that my race here in Nebraska against Republican Deb Fischer is going to be one of the closest Senate races in the entire country:
After I led a 77-day strike against Kellogg’s to protect our wages and benefits, I was fired for being union president. I decided then and there that I was going to find a way to continue the fight for blue collar workers like me – and that’s why I am running for Senate against one of the most corporate politicians in the country: Republican Deb Fischer.
I’m not rich. I’m not well-connected. Hell, I don’t even have a college degree. But with help from grassroots donors like you, we’ve been out-raising my millionaire opponent, Deb Fischer, and all of her corporate PAC friends.
I can’t say thank you enough. You have helped put this Senate race on the map when no one believed we could. And when we shock everyone and win on Election Night, I will become the only blue-collar, card-carrying union member of the United States Senate.
I’m ready to be the 51st vote for working people, but I need your help if I’m going to win. We’ve set a goal of raising another $20,000 to fight back against Mitch McConnell’s Super PACs and win this Senate seat, but right now, we’re still pretty short.

I have been traveling the state meeting with voters, and there’s an electricity building behind our campaign. You can truly feel it.
We are going to win this Senate race, and it’ll all be thanks to people like you who gave now and helped us fund our campaign.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Dan
