With summer ending, I think about the families impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other dementia. They don't get a vacation from the fear, unknown and heartache of this disease. Their painful journey is a 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year ordeal.
Our End of Summer 2X Match Challenge is over in three short days. Every second of every hour is critical as this global public health crisis is escalating every day.
Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. By 2060, this number is projected to reach 13.8 million.
In 2024, Alzheimer's and other dementias will cost the nation $360 billion. By 2050, these costs could rise to nearly $1 trillion.
In 2023, more than 11 million unpaid caregivers provided an estimated 18.4 billion hours of care valued at $346.6 billion.
These numbers can seem daunting, but every dollar you give makes a huge impact on our fight. Every gift you make can have a tremendous impact on the life of every mother, father, grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin and friend who needs our help.
