Dear John,
As you’ll recall, Open Britain launched a petition earlier this year, calling on Keir Starmer to commit to Proportional Representation (PR) within his first 100 days in office.
Well, today marks the halfway point of that period and Labour has yet to commit to this important reform, one that is so essential to fair elections. So it’s time to give the PM a gentle nudge.
Our petition, so far signed by more than 55,000 people across the UK, demands a fairer voting system that truly represents the will of the people.
Proportional Representation would ensure that every vote counts, with:
More accurate representation of voter preferences
Increased voter engagement and turnout
Greater political diversity and cooperation
On this, his 50th day in office, I have written to the Prime Minister to remind him of the importance of this issue and to urge him to make the public commitment we seek.

This weekend, let's make our voices heard across social media. With your help, we can ensure our call for a fairer voting system reaches far and wide. Let's remind the Prime Minister that the clock is ticking on this crucial reform.
Are you ready to take action for a fairer democracy?
