FACT: As a former congressman, Lewis spent his time in Washington siding with powerful special interests over the people of Minnesota — voting to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions and to give tax breaks to big corporations.
FACT: To make matters worse, Lewis is a climate change denier, opposes any and all gun safety reform, and he has a history of deeply offensive views about women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community — the list goes on.
FACT: In the middle of a crisis, Lewis has downplayed the seriousness of the virus — comparing it to the flu and calling it a "wintertime sickness" — and has ignored health officials' social distancing guidelines designed to protect our health care professionals, our first responders, our seniors, and countless others.
