Dear MoveOn member,

Last night, Kamala Harris took to the DNC stage in Chicago and officially accepted her nomination as the Democratic Party nominee for president. The moment was electric, and the excitement palpable—especially for those MoveOn members who got together across the country to watch Vice President Harris deliver her remarks at our DNC watch parties nationwide.

Vice President Harris didn't just accept her nomination on the DNC stage—she outlined her bold plan for our country's future. From championing reproductive rights to tackling the climate crisis head-on, Kamala Harris shared her vision for what's possible and demonstrated exactly what's at stake this election: our freedoms. As Vice President Harris said in her speech last night, “The future is always worth fighting for. And that's the fight we're in right now: A fight for America's future."

Here are some key issues we identified from last night's speech:

Kamala Harris is fighting for reproductive freedom.

In the last two years since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe, MAGA lawmakers have successfully banned abortion in 14 states.1

Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda would implement a national abortion ban, but we refuse to let that happen. Kamala Harris knows abortion care is essential health care, which is why we're fighting every day between now and November to put her in the White House.

If elected, Kamala Harris would work to expand and protect abortion rights, not limit them. As a part of her speech last night, Harris promised that, as president, she would sign legislation to "restore reproductive freedom." We need to elect Vice President Harris so that we can codify Roe and prevent states from imposing restrictions on abortion access.

Kamala Harris is fighting for an "opportunity economy."

As president, Kamala Harris will focus on lowering the costs of food, housing, health care, and child care. It's what she refers to as the "opportunity economy," and we believe it could help millions of families.2

As a part of this plan, Kamala Harris will include a federal ban on price-gouging on groceries, a new $6,000 child tax credit for families with newborns, and a $25,000 boost for first-time homebuyers. And Vice President Harris is serious about the fight for affordable housing: She's calling for the construction of 3 million new housing units, both for rent and for sale, over the next four years.4

While Trump's Project 2025 agenda would cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy, Kamala Harris is committed to fighting for working people. These ambitious economic policies laid out by Harris have the power to transform our nation, but that future is possible only if we dedicate ourselves to fighting every single day to get her elected. If you're excited, grab your sign to support Harris's agenda now!

Kamala Harris is fighting for climate justice.

As Kamala Harris said during her acceptance speech, she will protect our "freedom to breathe clean air and drink clean water and live free from the pollution that fuels the climate crisis."

While Trump and Project 2025 want to give Big Oil billionaires tax breaks, raise costs of living for working families, and destroy our clean-energy manufacturing boom, Kamala Harris will take the country forward. As president, Harris will fight for our freedom from Big Oil's grip, lowering energy costs and holding Big Oil billionaires accountable for inflated prices and pollution.

The climate crisis grows more urgent every day, and we can't afford to waste time with climate deniers who lie to protect their Big Oil donors. With Kamala Harris in the White House, our freedom to live in a healthy climate will be protected.

We are not going back—we’re moving forward, and electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz this November is the first step on that path. Can we count on you to lead the way by downloading one of our free, printable signs to show your support for the Harris-Walz ticket?

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA right is declaring war, and Project 2025 is their battle plan. Project 2025 threatens our rights, attacks communities of color, hurts middle- and working-class families, and undermines our democracy. But we will not back down or let Trump steamroll our nation.

Will you start a monthly donation to power and sustain MoveOn's election plan, stop Trump, and ensure Project 2025 is never enacted?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
