New York court delivers victory for voters
* In a win for voters, a New York appeals court upheld ([link removed]) a new law aimed at protect voters' rights and streamlining the counting of absentee ballots. The court rejected an argument from the New York GOP that the law is violates the state constitution.

Judge dismisses lawsuit in Pennsylvania over Dominion voting machines
* For the second time, a federal judge dismissed ([link removed]) a lawsuit from Republicans in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, who said the use of Dominion voting machines in the 2020 election violated voters' constitutional rights.
* In April 2023, Dominion reached a $787 million settlement with Fox News following a defamation lawsuit ([link removed]) against the network and some of its broadcasters who peddled conspiracy theories and erroneous claims surrounding the company’s voting equipment.

Election workers in a Georgia county will have increased safety measures
* Cobb County, Georgia approved ([link removed]) more than $60,000 to fund increased safety measures for election workers amid rising threats, including hiring a security guard and providing poll workers with panic buttons that instantly contact law enforcement.

Voter took a selfie with her ballot — and now could face prosecution
* A North Carolina voter sued ([link removed]) the State Board of Elections after she received threats of criminal prosecution for taking a selfie with her ballot at the polls. The voter alleged the state's ban on ballot photography violates the First Amendment.
