I think that Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic nominee for President is a rediscovery of what hope feels like, in a much deeper way.
It’s the difference between bailing out a boat, and sailing a boat. When you’re so consumed with, “How do we keep this thing up?” — it’s stressful, and important.
But now — we can look up and say, “Where do we want to take this thing?”
And to me, the long term of where we want to take this is people’s joy, dreams, and the fight for guaranteed healthcare, for a living wage, and for union jobs.
We just concluded the Democratic National Convention, and there are 74 days until the election.
