The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Forum on the Assassination Attempt of Donald J. Trump
On Monday, I will participate in a forum to examine the assassination attempt of Donald Trump in Butler, PA. It has been 41 days since the tragic shooting occurred, and Congress has been provided with little meaningful insight into the Secret Service’s security failures.
I will be joined by Congressmen Eli Crane (R-AZ), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Cory Mills (R-FL), and Chip Roy (R-TX). We will be speaking with subject matter experts:
- Dan Bongino – Former United States Secret Service Special Agent
- Erik Prince – Former United States Navy SEAL Officer
- Ben Shaffer – Washington Regional SWAT Operator, Eyewitness
We look forward to working alongside Speaker Johnson’s task force and providing them with additional information. The American people have been without answers for over a month, and Congress must work to uncover the truth.
The event will be livestreamed on X, Rumble, YouTube, and Facebook. You don’t want to miss it!
Tele-Town Hall Next Tuesday, August 27th
I am hosting my virtual tele-town hall next Tuesday, August 27 at 8:30 pm EDT/5:30 pm PDT. I will provide district updates and discuss what I’ve been working on in Washington. Please join the town hall and ask me questions!
The Radical Biden-Harris Regime Refuses to Hold Illegal Aliens Accountable
I sent a letter to Jessica Aber, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, concerning the alarming release of foreign nationals exhibiting potential terrorist activity.
Hasan Yousef Hamdan and Mohammad Khair Dabous, Jordanian nationals illegally present in the United States, were arrested and placed in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody after attempting, and failing, to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in early May. The pair of illegal aliens were then allowed to post bail and were subsequently released from federal prison, despite the threat they pose and the fact that one of the individuals, Hasan Yousef Hamdan, was reportedly flagged in the terror watch list.
U.S. Attorney Aber must provide answers regarding the reasoning behind the release of the illegal aliens.
The actions of this administration prove that it values the desires of illegal aliens over the safety of American citizens. It is unthinkable that illegal aliens who attempted to gain access to a secure U.S. military facility would be released on bail, but the radical Biden-Harris regime has once again disregarded existing immigration law in favor of the comfort of foreign nationals.
Illegal aliens–especially those who commit further crimes and who are being monitored for terrorism ties–must be detained and held accountable. I’m thankful for the support from my colleagues, and I look forward to timely answers from U.S. Attorney Aber.
The New York Post covered the letter here.
The letter may be read here.

The 30-minute documentary features footage from private ranches along the border, the Darien Gap in Panama, and interviews with members of Congress, Border Patrol, local and state law enforcement, and much more. It addresses how President Biden’s border crisis began, its consequences, and solutions to address the crisis.
