John, we’re so
proud.

The Democratic National Convention wrapped last night, and gun violence
was front and center all week. This would have been unTHINKABLE just a few
years ago, but together, we’ve changed everything. 

Once upon a time, guns were the third rail of politics. This week, top
leaders and candidates talked every single day about putting gun violence
FRONT and CENTER. Instead of shying away from it, they invited survivors
ON STAGE to share their harrowing stories of loss. That’s HUGE. 

This is going to make a BIG difference in the campaign. Millions of young
people agree with you,
John, and put gun safety as the
NUMBER ONE issue to them.  And the youth vote WILL be the deciding factor
in this election and democrats now know what we’ve been saying for years:
gun safety is a top priority for young people and a winning issue. 

The DNC has caught up with the times, but MFOL has been ready for years.
Millions of young people are motivated by gun violence and ready to elect
gun safety champions up and down the ballot in November. They just need to
be mobilized.

to elect candidates who will pass gun safety laws for a future free from

Last night, Kamala Harris addressed the nation, stating:

“In this election, many other fundamental freedoms are at stake. The
freedom to live safe from gun violence—in our schools, communities, and
places of worship.”

America cannot guarantee freedom and safety for the next generation so
long as guns are so easily accessible and loosely regulated. We need
candidates like Kamala Harris who will take gun safety seriously. That’s
why we’re doing everything in our power to secure the youth vote. Over the
next few months, we plan to contact ONE MILLION young people. But we can’t
do it alone.
