Kansas Republicans gathered on Thursday evening, August 22, 2024, for an evening reception with the next Vice President of the United States, Senator JD Vance.

The 300+ person event raised over $1.5M and occurred at the Indian Hills Country Club in Mission Hills, KS and was hosted by the 70th U.S. Secretary of State,

As we head full-steam into the general election cycle, we have asked the Republican National Committee for assistance in training Kansas Republicans, and they have agreed to come to Kansas for professional & free in-person training!

State Representative Marvin Robinson Passes Away

Democratic Kansas State Representative Marvin Robinson of Kansas City passed away early Friday morning, August 23, 2024.

The Kansas Republican Party fully recognizes that Representative Robinson was a Democrat, but we also recognize and remember that he was a Kansan, a State representative, a friend of many on both sides of the aisle, and a good man with a good heart who strived to make Kansas and his hometown community ever-better. These are the qualities we all should look for and recognize in each other, following Representative Robinson’s example.

Many who knew Marvin would agree that he was a Godly man of principle and kindness. It was a privilege to know him, and to call him a friend, a fellow Kansan, and a patriotic American.

Godspeed until we meet again, Marvin.

Price Controls NEVER WORK

The solution to our current American inflation crisis is to return to Donald Trump as President of the United States.

Kamala Harris has been VP for nearly four years, and she created this problem as part of Biden’s Administration. To put Harris in as President in 2024 is to reward the arsonist for putting out the fire.

Price controls may be enacted with the best of intentions, but they don't work. Most attempts to control prices struggle to overcome the natural economic forces of supply and demand for any significant length of time. When commerce trade establishes prices in a free market, prices shift to maintain the balance between supply and demand.

Government-imposed price controls can lead to excess demand in the case of price ceilings or excess supply in the case of price floors.

As a result, price controls quickly lead to an imbalance between supply and demand, which in turn leads to shortages and underground markets.

When prices move too low for things like housing, there may not be enough supply, increasing demand. And inevitably, landlords will let the condition of their properties deteriorate because they aren't making enough to maintain them.

Price controls can lead to losses and a significant drop in the quality of all goods, from housing to groceries. When prices go too low, producer revenue drops. They will find a way to cut down on costs or production or may end up putting more inferior products on the market.

Price Controls will also lead to an immediate drop in Research and Development, which will prevent the introduction of newer and better products.

Price controls were implemented in Venezuela a decade or so ago and led to everyone - the wealthy and the poor - eating out of landfills.

This is the stupidest idea EVER, and you should immediately disqualify Harris as your choice for president. If you disagree, envision your family at the county landfill scrounging for rotted meat to eat. That should realign your political optical nerve.

And yes, it absolutely can happen here. Don’t forget we have over $35 trillion in national debt hanging over our heads right now.

Which means we are walking a tight rope with no safety net… making us one one stupid decision from catastrophe.

This is the kind of tone-deaf divisiveness we expect from AOC & Co., but while Sharice runs step for step with her ultra-liberal buddies while in WDC and elsewhere, she lies to you that she is a “moderate”. But the truth is she is an ultra-progressive who clearly harbors a deep disdain for her “colonizer” constituents.

Our congresswoman is the proverbial “wolf in sheeps clothing” who comforts you to your face and is secretly preparing to eat you when the opportunity arises.

Being a congresswoman is serious business, but Sharice isn’t a serious person.

Time for a change.

SCOTUS Partially Reinstates Arizona Proof-of-Citizenship Voting Law

The Supreme Court on Thursday partially granted the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) emergency request to restore an Arizona law requiring stricter proof-of-citizenship measures for voting.

In a 5-4 decision, the justices reinstated a provision mandating that state voter registration forms be rejected if applicants fail to provide proof of citizenship. Liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented, joined by conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

However, the court denied the RNC's bid to revive another provision barring registered voters from participating in presidential or mail-in elections if they used federal forms that don’t require citizenship proof. In this instance, Barrett sided with the three liberal justices and at least one of either Chief Justice John Roberts or Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley celebrated the decision on social media, calling it a “seismic win” in efforts to prevent non-citizens from voting.

Arizona's Secretary of State estimates that this ruling could block approximately 42,000 registered voters from participating in the upcoming presidential election. Conservative Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch supported restoring both provisions.

The decision arrived just before Arizona’s ballot printing deadline, allowing the law to impact this year's critical swing state election. While the Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration by not fully granting the RNC's request, the Justice Department has focused on challenging the broader federal form issue rather than state-level provisions.

The Democratic National Committee and other voting rights groups argue the changes are unconstitutional and preempted by federal law, a claim the courts continue to weigh.

KSGOP Offers Huge Saving to Republican Candidates in General Elections

With the Republican Primary Elections now behind us, your KSGOP will make our not-for-profit postage mailing rate available to Republican candidates and their election teams.

Those who took advantage of this tool in the primary election saved over a combined $100,000 which remains in their accounts to be used against their Democrat opponents!

Candidates and campaign team members must keep a few facts in mind when using this offer:

1. Mailers may be positive or negative BUT shall not specifically or vaguely name or use the likeness of any other person except their opponent or other prominent public figure.

2. All mailers will be reviewed for content. Approvals will be moved forward and denials I’ll be returned to be reworked. If a mailer is denied, the KSGOP team will be happy to listen to an argument however a final decision will be final.

3. No mail will be sent until the KSGOP has received payment.

Candidates should plan on a 15-working day turn around of mailing a check to KSGOP.

Candidates should plan on a 3-working day turn around if paying via ACH or wire.

KSGOP has no control over the speed, reliability, or dependability of the USPS, so please plan appropriately.

4. All mailings using the KSGOP indicia shall contain the appropriate KSGOP disclaimer for state or federal races.

5. Pricing per piece of mail will likely increase as we get closer to election day and as the work load increases, although the total price per piece will always be less than first class postage.

KSGOP Support for Kansas Republicans in 2024

With the 2024 primary election now past, I would like to take a moment to let you know about what the KSGOP is offering to our Republican candidates and volunteers, from precinct committee persons to US Congress.

K.S.A. 25-2711. Placement of political signs during election period. No city or county shall regulate or prohibit the placement of or the number of political signs on private property or the unpaved right-of-way for city streets or county roads on private property during the 45-day period prior to any election and the two-day period following any such election. Cities and counties may regulate the size and a set-back distance for the placement of signs so as not to impede sight lines or sight distance for safety reasons.
