We were back on the 22 County Tour this week after a great weekend at the Iowa State Fair! Following my telephone town hall on Monday, I headed out on the road to hear from Iowans in Bristow, Charles City, and New Hampton. I met with Iowa farmers, producers, and small business owners to discuss policy solutions to the challenges they face.

Whether it's during one of my town halls or out on an Iowa farm, it's clear: the Harris-Biden Administration's policies are not working for Iowans. I’ll continue to advocate for policies that secure our Southern Border, lower taxes for Iowa families, and provide certainty for our small businesses.

Hearing from Iowans will always be my top priority. I will continue to seek your feedback and work to make D.C. run more like Iowa. Read on for more information on my work for Iowans this week!

Telephone Town Hall Poll Results

Thank you to everyone who joined my telephone town hall on Monday! We discussed Kamala’s price-fixing ploy, my support for Israel, and the importance of securing the border. During the call, I asked the audience to share their top policy priority – check out the full results below!

Grand Central Jerseys Dairy Farm

I enjoyed visiting the Horst family and Grand Central Jerseys this week! We discussed issues facing family farms including animal health, input sourcing, and rising costs. Many vitamins and minerals for our livestock are sourced from China, which threatens our food security. I have introduced legislation that will reshore production of these critical nutrients and ensure we aren't relying on China.

Valero Renewables

It was great to stop by Valero Renewables. Expanding the use of Iowa biofuels is not only great for the consumer and the environment, but critical to the vitality of our Iowa economy. I will continue advocating for Iowa biofuels!

Full River Fabrication

I toured Full River Fabrication in New Hampton this week! I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Chelsi, and hear how she turned her passion for painting and welding into a successful small business.

Iowa State Fair

I had a blast at the Iowa State Fair last weekend celebrating all things Iowa, eating my favorite fair foods, and visiting with Iowans enjoying their time at the fair. Nothing compares - I can't wait until next year!

Ways and Means Field Hearing

Not only do Democrats want to let President Trump’s tax cuts expire in 2025, but they also want to raise taxes on families, farms, and small businesses. Last week, I joined the Ways and Means Committee and Chairman Jason Smith at the Iowa State Fair to highlight the contrast between Democrats’ tax and spend agenda and Republicans’ commonsense economic policy.
