Supporting our community has always been my top priority. Here in Rochester, we have a team of caseworkers dedicated to helping individuals and families interact with federal agencies. Read on for some of the most common areas where we can assist.

United States Passports

For those looking to travel, be sure to check your passport’s expiration date, as many countries require a passport valid for six months to enter! If you are facing logistical hurdles in renewing your passport for timely travel, reach out to my office. We’ve helped hundreds in our community obtain appointments with their nearest passport office and secure necessary documentation in time for their travel.

Veterans and Military Service

I’m committed to ensuring our local veteran community has every resource and level of support they need, and my office can assist with inquiries to the Veterans Administration. From securing military records and medals to seeking VA medical services and disability benefits, my casework team works tirelessly to bring veterans the benefits and services they are owed.

For local students who want to serve their country, each year my office submits nominations to the U.S. Military Academies. If you or someone you know is interested, visit my website to learn more about the application process.

Working with the IRS

We can assist if you are having trouble obtaining your tax returns or communicating with the IRS. Especially after the loss of a loved one, it can be logistically difficult to work through estate issues and secure an individual's final tax return. My staff has helped many families communicate with the IRS to work through this difficult time and secure the return they are owed. If you or someone you know needs help accessing their tax return, please contact my office for assistance.

Social Security and Medicare

Older Rochesterians deserve to age with independence and dignity—and my office is here to help. For those who have open and ongoing cases with the Social Security Administration or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service, we may be able to assist.

Congressional Internships

We welcome students to both my Washington, D.C. and Rochester district offices each semester to take part in a congressional internship program. Here students learn about the legislative process, take part in day-to-day office work, and acquire the skills needed to launch a career in public service. Washington, D.C. Services

Last year alone, my office coordinated 466 Capitol and White House Tours. If you are traveling to D.C., we can help set up tours of the U.S. Capitol Building, White House, Library of Congress, and more. We can also assist with flag requests, including those flown over the U.S. Capitol.
