Oklahoma,

The August work period is in full swing. We've had events in Tulsa, Jenks, Atoka, and Durant this week. Like many of you, my wife and I have also sent our children back to school. Please join me in wishing Oklahoma students the best as they embark on another great year. If this email was forwarded to you, you can subscribe to my weekly e-newsletter here.

August is one of the busiest times of year with parents gearing up to send their children back to school. It’s a time of excitement though, with the promise of new beginnings and fresh routines. As Oklahoma families rally to kick off another strong school year, far too many are facing a brutal economic reality that’s forcing everyone to pay more to get less. Check out my 'Mullin It Over' column on this issue.

I joined the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors for a meeting on Monday. It was great to meet so many of you and discuss your business and top priorities. Thank you Shonna Barber, District Vice President for having me.

I joined with OK House Speaker Charles McCall to continue our federal and state partnership series with events in Atoka and Durant. Our goal for these conversations is to outline the differences between federal and state jurisdictions to better serve our constituents. Thanks to all who came out and made it a great day.

Special thank you to the Choctaw Nation, Atoka City Manager Danny Delay, and Carol Ervin, Director of Atoka City Industrial Development Authority for your efforts and hospitality. I also want to thank Rep. Cody Maynard (R-Durant), Janet Reed, Executive Director of the Durant Chamber, Durant Mayor Martin Tucker, Durant City Manager Pam Polk, PSO Robert Holliday, and Scott Dewall for their efforts as well.

This week, I joined Newsmax to discuss the Democrats' radical abortion agenda. As parents of three biological children and three adopted children, my wife and I thank the Lord every single day that those mothers were brave enough to choose life. Watch the interview here.
