Dear friend,

Many students across the Fourth District have returned to school. My own kids just started their school year at Richmond Public Schools, and we couldn't be more excited. I wish all of our students in Virginia's Fourth a successful and productive school year!

Just this month, I celebrated the Department of Energy's announcement that Richmond Public Schools will receive $15,300,000 in federal funding through the 2024 Renew America's Schools Prize and Grant Program. These federal funds will support Richmond Public Schools' efforts to reduce school energy costs, increase energy efficiency in schools, and improve student and teacher health. In Congress, I will continue fighting to bring crucial funding back to our education systems and programs.
