John, Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence must be impeached — immediately.
Just days before President Biden’s inauguration, Justice Samuel Alito flew an upside down American flag outside his home — showing support for the violent rioters who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021. He doubled down in 2023, flying the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, which is linked to white supremacist groups and was carried by Jan. 6th rioters. He's shown his hand with these gestures — it’s clear his loyalties lie with Trump-aligned radicals, and he can’t be trusted rule impartially.
Justice Clarence Thomas' record is no better. He has been exposed multiple times for exploiting his position for personal luxury – he's accepted lavish gifts of cruises, private jets, and resort vacations from conservative donors. He’s also repeatedly refused to recuse himself from caseshe has clear conflicts of interest in.

Alito’s use of these ultra-nationalist symbols is disturbing. As a Supreme Court justice, Alito is expected to uphold the law of the land, the American Constitution. We believe that his actions violate the Supreme Court’s own new (albeit non-binding) Code of Ethics, which states that “a Justice should disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the Justice’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned.”
Thomas' constant unethical behavior — accepting expensive gifts from donors and refusing to recuse himself from cases his interests conflict with — is a blatant red flag and should disqualify him from holding such an important position.
Justices Alito and Thomas must be impeached — their impartiality is undoubtedly compromised.
