50 years ago this week, the Equal Educational Opportunities Act helped ensure schools were accessible to students of all language backgrounds. It was a critical step in our ongoing work to break down barriers to education and make classrooms inclusive and welcoming to all across our nation. We join in recognizing its landmark progress as we continue to prioritize legislation that can build off of its promise.
